I have particular interest in coins, especially silver commemoratives and ocassionally small gold coins when they are affordable. The last coin you posted (in your first post)is a very nice looking coin is it hard to obtain? Now you mentioned high shipping costs? I don't see where that is a problem as everyone here is used to paying for shipping everytime they purchase a coin or note regardless where they purchase it. If you have coins for sale or can get coins for individuals you charge them the full amount for the coin PLUS the shipping charges. About the only time we don't charge shipping is when we trade coins on an even basis.

Also would you please tell us one more time about the coin you use as your avatar? Are they available as well? I really like that coin!

This one?

This coin is minted in 2005 and still on the market. There are three types for this one. silver proof, silver proof with a red G. and this one in the picture, which is 925 silver base with gold coating - and some red color.(Galatasaray Sports Club 100th anniversary comm.)Galatasaray Logo (Red G and Yellow S) on the obverse and 100th anniversary logo on the reverse. Diam. 38,61 mm, 31,47 gr. minted 10.000. The price is 30 YTl app. 23 USD.

About my avatar coin, its 1999 Troja comm. 24 Fine gold, diam. 13,92 mm, 1,24 gr. minted 27.000 pcs.
The obverse is the classical Turkish State Mint design with issue year and nominal value, and the reverse is the Legendary Trojan Horse behind a Trojan soldier figure. It sais Living Legend Troja on top.
It's not available at the State Mint store (not since 2002). But I think a hard search could give results at collector's corners. Nominal value in 99 was app. 6 USD now my estimation is about 30-40 USD.

Regarding shipment costs, I once tried to send a book to my friend in the USA, the cargo company charged me 40 USD
I sent the book with regular mail, it costed me 10 USD. I haven't tried to send a smaller package, and have no idea about the insurance etc. Can't help wondering how the prices on e-bay are ~2 USD worldwide I believe the rates are much different in USA.

In a couple of days I'll send a set of coins to the KidCollector, and as you mentioned, it'll be kind of a trade. Since he's in Kuwait, I dont expect such a shipment cost. I'll also have a clearer vision about the shipments overseas.

Thanks for your interest Sir

Sorry, I left a question unanswered: I don't sell any coins right now, I'm a keeper:) But I have quite an amount of old issue circulated coins, mostly in low grade. And I could swap them if anyone's interested in their collecion value rather than investment purposes.

I'll post some pictures of the Turkish coins as soon as I got a break, however I am in deep paperwork these days. (Right now it's 04:41 am and I'm sipping my coffee in front of the computer-mercy me:P)

I will gladly help anyone who has desire to put Turkish coins to his/her collection.

Please be sure that, if you decide to offer coins for sale or trade, you list them in the Buy/Sell/Trade area instead of the International Notes section.

Thanks.
