this is what I know about it....1½x1" rectangle "Emergency Unemployment Relief" sterling silver medal with red, white and blue attached ribbon and pin.
Nice embossed golfing image of Bobby Jones with his facsimile autograph and dated 1931. Maker's imprint and "I Will Share Golf Tournament" engraved on verso. "This Bobby Jones medal was issued in 1932 as part of a fund-raising effort for those left unemployed by the Great Depression" - (pictured as figure 13-8) in Olmans' Guide to Golf Antiques, p. 171.
"If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal", then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."
