Seems unreasonable to me, you can't make something from nothing. We don't technically have a trillion dollars lying around to symbolize with a hunk of metal

I saw the article in the paper this morning. It's not so far fetched. The way this country and its resources are being given away, we'll all need coins like this in our pocket to buy a loaf of bread. So sad.

Silver coin with a million dollar face value?
Platinum coin with a trillion dollar face value?
One dollar paper note with a one dollar face value?

The principle is the same.

This could get political fast. Lets keep it to coins. IMHO.

Might as well just lock the thread now then. Its absolutely impossible to discuss a trillion dollar coins whose whole purpose is to bypass congressional oversight of the national debt in order to spend more money by increasing its availability by enormous amounts.

IMHO just keep it civil and hope this coin never gets minted
