This coin got my attention because it was struck at a US mint, and it's a one year type. Therefore, the date was on the hub and also doubled. There are several doubled dies for this single year of issue. They are common, and I can only guess the US mints weren't too concerned about the quality of these coins.

The doubling on the date is really dramatic:

The legends show strong doubling as well, and some places look like a tripled die--arrows.

There are large areas of doubling on the whole obverse, including the portrait:

Wow. Very nice. Had me running to fetch my 1907 1/2 cent, but no luck. Not doubled.

Thanks! I've seen 3 DDOs, and a couple of DDRs.

@Thulium - You mentioned DDR I went back to look at mine and YESSIR.
Check these pics.

BTW for those of you who may be wondering about the date in the filenames, the camera that I used for the closeups had an internal camera that was incorrect.

Very nice example of the DDR! Great pics--it's very strong on the "A". Pretty obvious the mint didn't care much, did they?

@Thulium
True that about the mint not caring. The doubling is quite pronounced on the A, but also very much so on the ball and horizontal lines beneath the word Balboa.
