Please opine on the overall grade of this '84-S Morgan dollar.

I also was a bit surprised at the radically different price point breaks when going from AU-50 up to MS-62... Please also comment on where one feels that this one falls into price-wise.

It does display somewhat of a flattened cartwheel effect that is difficult to exactly portray with static photos etc..

thx

Looks AU Details Cleaned from the pictures. Don't see any luster. May be the lighting. Nice cheek.

In light of the above and acceptable observations would it reasonable to possibly expect that PCGS could still slab it as 'genuine', details-cleaned, & with an AU-50 grade which should bring a $ 205 Numismedia Wholesale NGC Bid on shown on http://www.ha.com?

It may have been cleaned, but it may just be the lighting; I cannot tell which from those pictures. Other than that, I would think AU-53.

From what I see is a au50-55 coin that is cleaned. Yes the prices skyrockets in mint state cause they're very scarce. If you could maybe take pics with no flash and in natural lighting we can maybe see that it could be original and problem free. If you don't have much into it and are looking to have it graded then go for it if you are confident that it'll grade problem free.
