Australian Coin Values
This laymans guide will identify Australia's most valuable coins and notes to get an accurate idea of what a dealer will pay for them.
So I tripped over another lot of 50 dateless or near dateless Buffs - paid $8 and change for them.
Finds from the lot tonight: 3 - 1913 Type 1's - two with readable dates, one without. 1 - 1923S full date (how did someone miss this?) 1 - 1918 - readable date under magnification....last 2 digits evident 2 - 1917 - same as the 18.
Several others that I made the dates on - all commons. In the end, only 34 of the 50 were truly dateless.
I was shocked at the 23S - its in at least VG condition - all four digits evident, mint mark clear, etc.
I've never tried nic-a-date, but with a huge pile of dateless (under 10x mag) I either need to consider that or just auctioning them off. Pile is near 200 now.
