Yes, if the guy that says he is going to buy them , backs out, I'm going to send them all in for certification.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

Those particular coins need to be slabbed by a TPG.

From what I see the half cent and two cent are fakes and that doesn't bode well for the quarter eagle.

@ Conder,

what makes you say that, with just the pics I posted.

I really would like to know, either way, I will be sending them in to have them checked out, and graded.

This trio isn't the typical "found in great grandpa's cigar box" set. Something isn't right here.

When did I say they was found in great grandpa's cigar box, I never said how, or where I got them, so why put words in my mouth, that's kinda rude, don't you think ?

"Found in grandpa's cigar box" is just a term we collectors use for random lots of coins that non collectors come across. Usually its just a bunch of old loose change left forgotten in a box or jar, with little true collector value. All he was saying is that this is not typical of that kind of find. It wasn't aimed at you personally...

If it's real, $2500 would be a fair price for the Two Cent alone, and the Half Cent is worth at least twice that. So if your coins are real, you are being taken to the cleaners.

@bmoore1332

What I'm saying is that these aren't typical coins that non collectors typically have. Having three less common is unusual. Typically no collectors will have things like Morgan or Peace dollars, wheat cents, buffalo nickels and maybe a gold coin here or there. To have three less common coins in mint state seems highly unusual unless you are a collector.

The rims are wrong on the two cent piece for it to be a proof, and this is a proof only issue. The 1836 half cent has the wrong reverse for this year. That reverse does not match the original, the first restrike, or the second restrike. It appears to be reverse A of 1826.
