Larena, The mule has a 10 cent obverse, if you go back to the last pic put up you can clearly see the obverse of Sally's mule is smaller than the other $1 in that pic.

Because this coin only has half a second ring (restamp) would this make it more valuable or less valuable. The back of the coin and the side of the coin are normal and it is the same size as a normal dollar coin.

It would most likely decrease the value as it is not centred very well. It is not re stamped either. What has happened is the die (basically mould) used was actually for a 10c coin which is a little smaller than the dollar, hence it creates the extra ring.

The premium applies to fully centred dies with a complete "second rim" showing. However, in the case of the coin you have, condition plays a larger factor in determining the value of the coin, and hence why we would like to see higher quality images of the obverse and reverse.

Off center whatever no problem. This is a nice mule and is worth quite a lot of money at the moment But if you decide to hang onto it it will be worth a lot more in a few years
Aim to Enjoy life. You only get one shot at it

hi guys , sounds good to say hang on to it for a few years and it will be worth a small fortune some day, but at 70 years of age , it is hard to know when our time is up , and it would be nice to know how much it is worth ,and even when we go it does not realy matter what it is worth , but it would still be nice to know ,.and if the kids are not interested it coins , why not sell now and enjoy the money now . that is my hard decision I have to face every day ,..
