I have made this really worn 1949 New Zealand Crown my one.

As you can see, this coin has had a capital start as a pocket piece, most of this type are at least gVF, this is gGood!
Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi.
If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.

Here's my yearly update. I'll include last year's pic this time for comparison.

Super cool morgan pocket piece!! It has that polished look, but of course it has been rubbing cloth all day!

Thanks! It started out gold-plated, but after five years there isn't a hint of it left. Even the deep scratch across Liberty's cheek has almost disappeared.

I bought a 1896-o Morgan in EF that already was drilled for a key ring a few years ago. I get a lot of joy going through my daily routine knowing a Morgan is always close to look at. I used to keep a 1888-cc counterfeit for fun I carried but it's in my sock drawer now. I prefer a real Morgan. When I bought the 88-cc I also bought a bogus proof ASE I kept at y desk at work. It was stolen#129313;

I have exams in a couple of weeks and it looks like I need a mascot. I need to find a suitable coin that I could not only carry with me every day, but also that would serve as a talisman for me and would be happy.
I don't have anything suitable. Does anyone have any options ?

It's been a minute for me...

This 1971-S 40% Ike has been with me since late Dec 2020. It was a coin machine find at work a few years earlier.

1960-D Franklin since April 2020.

The story behind this one is that my dad turned 60 in April 2020. For his birthday, I sent him a 1960 proof set and a circulated 1960D Franklin and told him to put it in his pocket, with instructions about carrying a piece of silver from your birth year for good luck. He says it does for him. I had a couple extra 1960D in my stash at the time so I threw this one in my pocket starting on his 60th birthday.

Not pictured: 1962 Irish penny (on me almost daily) and a 1962 Mexico peso (most days).

The 1921 S Morgan and 1933 half crown are locked up in the SDB and will be brought out again at some point in the future.
