Very interesting results, Merv! Funnily enough my work took me to Eastbourne yesterday (a prosperous town on the Sussex coast with a large population of well-off retirees). I have never got any coins from the bank there before, but I decided to take the plunge and grab a £250 bag from the HSBC. The results were a bit disappointing. I found 18 commemoratives, as follows: 2006 Victoria Cross medal - 2 2006 Victoria Cross heroic acts - 1 2013 Ironside - 1 2016 Team GB - 1 2017 Benjamin Bunny - 3 2017 Mr Jeremy Fisher - 1 2017 Tale of Peter Rabbit - 3 2017 Tom Kitten - 1 2018 Paddington at the Station - 1 2020 Brexit - 3 2020 Diversity - 1 Among the regular Britannia and Shield coins I got two 2017s - mintage 1,800,000. No 2020 Shields or 2022 Jubilees...  My best find was probably this - a 1997 Gibraltar 50p with the delightful dolphin reverse:  Edited by NumisRob

I will only be keeping the 2011 Olympic Games , 2009 Kew Gardens & 2022 Platinum Jubilee (when I finally manage to get one) to top up any stock levels from now on.
I have built up enough spare stock for swapping & have now started to return most of the different types back into the wild.

I'm still looking for the 2020 shield and 2022 "50 Years of Pride UK" at the moment then I'm up to date.
I'm hoarding some of the commemoratives (2011 Olympics) ready to swap & I am slowly releasing the the rest of what I find back into the wild.

Those are the same two coins which I have not located in circulation.
So I guess the 46,540,375 of the 2020 Royal Shield coins that were minted are still sitting around somewhere.
We don't know yet how many 2022 Pride coins were minted.
I have not heard anyone reporting finding either of these in circulation.
Another coin that I have not seen in circulation are any of the 32,725,000 2020 Royal Shield 20 pence coins that were minted.

I haven't seen a 2020 20p yet and I've just noticed that I still need a 1992 small head. I don't know why but I haven't been looking for one of those, must have slipped my mind. I wonder how many of them I have had & spent through the years .

Hi all I got back from the bank run a couple of hours ago & eagerly ripped into them. The first bank only let me have £20 in 50p's. all I got was a 2019 Sherlock Holmes. The second bank was the one that I was really looking forward to 'cos last week I had ordered £250's worth. When I opened the bag......AAARRRGGGH!!!! What a disappointment... 3 mixed £10 bags only gave up a 2004 Sub Four Minute Mile and a beaten-up 2007 Boy Scouts. The other 22 £10 bags were all sealed 2020 Diversity Built Britain. So I now have 440 uncirculated 2020 Diversity  .    Monthly total for August to follow. Thanks Merv |

quite a poor selection this month, the "Diversity" didn't help & my last bank run was only £50.00 and must have been somebody elses dump 'cos it was a total loss. 0/100 coins.
