The seller had this listed as "typo", instead of "type 2" but still I wasn't the only one to figure it out as I ended up winning it at auction for $100. But that should be low enough that I can put $36 into getting it labeled in a new holder and still come out a little ahead.

Of note, this is stage D, with a lot of die chips in LIBERTY. But while these are markers to determine the die stage of this DDO, there is at least one other die out there with very similar die chips that is NOT the DDO. You can not just see these die chips and assume it is DDO-002, you still have to see the doubling to be sure.

No, that's the label that was on it in the ebay listing that the seller called "typo".

Nice find. Even if you had to pay closer to full price.

Good one! The die chip in the lower half of the R is how I can tell the difference, besides the wideness of the 90. It can be seen in your image that the chip is parallel to the crossbar of the R and the lower 1/2 of the B is 1/2 filled top right.
My file is over 300k for my image of the nonDDO 09vdb LWC.

Thanks for the great comments!

Stage D of this variety shows a fairly strong die clash between the C and E of Cent, as well as under the chin and in the hair just above the neck on the obverse.

I would like to see the date area on the '0' better:

Note on the enlarged zero? (second image on this collage) This distortion should be on the zero, if not, then it is not the DDO-002. Die chips on Liberty are not always the match for this one. There was on other normal die that had the die chips on the Liberty area that is not DDO-002

Top image is the imposter on this one. The real one is on the bottom. (The one you want to match to for DDO-002.
Looks like a match to DDO-002 on the Liberty.

Coop, why do you want to see the 0 better? Do you really think I can't correctly attribute this die? I've posted a number of these and didn't feel the need to post images of every bit of the coin as what I was discussing was the fact that the die chips are not diagnostic of the die, something you re-iterated, and the fun bit that the seller thought it said typo on the little label.
