Dearborn, what an impressive collection! I have a Washington quarter type set that I enjoy. I am most interested in the designs of the various Washington quarters, rather than the mint marks or composition. I'm curious -- what would be the cost of assembling a BU collection of silver (1932 - 1964) Washington quarters with all mint marks? I would imagine several thousand dollars....

Thanks for the comments! Quote:I'm curious -- what would be the cost of assembling a BU collection of silver (1932 - 1964) Washington quarters with all mint marks? I would imagine several thousand dollars.... when I get home, I'll check what I paid for all my proofs to get a ball park amount. But I can say just the 1932 D alone would cost about $700 to $900 USD and the S at about $500 in BU condition. the rest may cost around $100 to $500 depending on the mintage population of the coins. (this is a dream/hope for me to up grade my worn older pieces to a BU or near BU as well

You could also check eBay sold listings to see what each one went for to use as a guide line.

"thanks, when you do try to make your own labels, let me know, I'll give you all my measurements and the exact labeler I used to make the labels." Thanks Dearborn! I'll reach out when the time comes. Jon

Very impressive! I decided to start a high-grade collection of circulating Washington quarters from 1932 to present. Since I can decide what I want in my collection, I plan to collect only MS P mint coins from 1932 - 1939. All other years, I'll collect by mint mark (P D S and/or W). I'll likely skip the different finishes (unless I need them to add the "S" mint mark to my collection), as they were not originally designed to be released into circulation. Should be a challenge (both in terms of time and money), but I'm up for the challenge! Thanks for sharing your post and photos!

Well the upgrade of my circulated quarters to BU ones has begun. I have 1968 - 1999 all in Mint cello wrap that I'm opening, photographing and replacing the old ones for these new BU quarters. Here is 1968-1973 (PD):

Very nice collection. Just wondering how many times you said "Have to find them all." What was the hardest one to find?

What was the hardest one to find? but I do 'have them all - well one of each) The hardest to find, Well they have all been relatively easy so far. But, I need the 1932-D in a BU condition, that one may take a while to save up for. but I still need to upgrade all my silver circulated quarters for BU ones. So, we'll see which one is the hardest pretty soon.
