A damaged coin is only a face value coin. Just like a totally wrecked car is only worth scrap. To a true coin collector, they don't want the worst coin, the want the best coin.

Even Abe's smirking on this coin. It happens.

Parking lot coin. Date does not matter as its too damaged (post mint) to be of any value. It's barely hanging on to face value!
