1945 Double D? Newbie Looking For Some Help.

Hagima New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 05/18/2022 2:05 pm Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and new to coin collecting. I just finished my first penny roll hunt and I found a 1945 Wheat penny with what looks like a double d error mark. It looks like one d is sideways and the correct d was stamped on top of it. I've been checking around and I haven't found any other examples of this online. Being a newbie, I'm perfectly willing to accept that The only error here is mine. #129396; Has anyone here seen or heard of this kind of error on this coin? Also flattening is another event that happens in circulation. These events could happen to a normal or variety coin. But the damage cancels the value if it was a die variety.
