A friend went to take care of some business in Europe and along the way made friends with some Ukrainian refugees. He was already planning on surprising me with some coins from his destinations, so he worked out some magic with his new-found friends and brought back this collection to give to me:

1 Hryvnia...
..

2 Hryvni...

5 Hryven...

10 Kopiiok..

50 Kopiiok...

As piles go, not bad at all--especially considering the circumstances.

He has children who are interested in our hobby, so I gave them some starter gifts a while back.

I agree. He also picked up some Romanian and Hungarian coins for me.

He is very busy trying to catch up on work since he got back so we did not have much time to chat. He will be doing some extensive work on my house in a few weeks, so I hope to hear more about his trip.
