Found a long forgotten pocket size coin folder (60 slots), nearly full of some rather remarkable inhabitants from 1791 thru 1937, Half Cents thru 1$. No questions here just some show and tell.

Sorry but not a 3 leg Buffalo. It has either been altered or one of the numerous counterfeits out there. Will need larger clearer photos of both sides to say which.

Agree this doesn't have the markers consistent with a genuine 3-legged Buffalo. An obverse pic would help.

Can't even see, the picture is too blurry.

As others have said, not genuine. Either a counterfeit or altered example. None of the markers are present for a genuine example.

Plot twist: this gets submitted to PCGS as a 1937-D 3-legged Buffalo nickel as an AU-58 straight grade and gets the coveted CAC green bean sticker. Without looking online, I cant tell if this is altered or counterfeit based on the reverse only since I don't know what to look for. I mean, it could be the blurriness of the photo to make it impossible to determine real or not, or it could be the incredible sharpness of the coin in question to make it appear too-good-to-be-true...

Doesn't look right, but then the coin is so far away from the camera to see any details. Please post up a close-up of this coin plus the obverse.

Close-up will confirm, but doesn't look good in this pic.

What we're looking for is a significant enlargement of the OP's coin, which we do not have here.

@ Coinfrog ..... Try hitting the CTRL and + keys on your computer. Pics do tend to get less sharp when enlarged, it seems.
