I do not believe this coin to be a variety.

I wouldn't, since It would not be worth the cost to do so.

Too much money to grade...not enough value in the coin.

If it a normal coin, why spend up to $50 to put it in a holder that is only worth face value? Getting the money back on slab fees will never happen. It has to make you money in order to put the expense out for the tomb, that coin will exist in.

absolutely with Coop. You may see coins of low $$ value that have been sent in for grading but this usually is done in bulk (say from Mint/Proof sets) to try and get that one MS-72 grade (sarcasm intended.)

PCGS has a MS-67 cent valued at $500

I wouldn't call this one a $500 coin? Way over priced to me on that coin. (The highest one they show graded in the MS-67) Save your money.
