Hi, I found this 1964 nickel with these two obvious issues. Trying to figure out if this is an error coin or intentional damage post mint.I can't find anything about an edge cud error from the mint causing an indent in the rim so I am thinking this is post mint damage. This nickel weighs the same as another 1964 nickel with no damage. Thanks in advance.
The problem is that if there were a piece of the die that broke off, it would be a void on the die. Voids on dies show what the piece of die area that is not missing, as a raised area on the coin, not a missing area on the coin. So this is just damage to the coin. Also the reverse would also show weakness opposite that area.
