The Revolving Bar at Top of the Mart was quite an attraction.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Just to add that the building depicted to the right of the "Top of the Mart" is St. Louis Cathedral, which dates back to 1789 (although it was largely rebuilt in the 1850's).

A wonderful pictorial website devoted to this famous New Orleans landmark: https://www.stlouiscathedral.org/?ui=2
