I've introduced myself before. I just popped over from the stamp forum to ask some questions about the pounds of pennies, all wheat, I found in my dad's desk. I said then that I had no intention of collecting coins. Stamps were bad enough. Over the past week I have spent over $100 on eBay buying dimes to fill out my collection, mostly Mercs but a few FDRs and even one or two Barbers. So I guess I am a coin collector.
Reasons for the change of heart: In part, you nice people and your willingness to help someone lost in the Coin World. The fact that I had a small number of nearly uncirculated recent coins various charities sent me trying to intimidate me into supporting them. And acquiring a little knowledge, so that I realized my tube of pre-1965 quarters might represent some real money, so ought not to be spent. Anyhow, thanks!
