There were almost as many different positions of the over/under repunches on the 7 as there were dies. The last digit was handpunched into the die and it took 2-3 whacks with the punch to get the impression deep enough. It may have been hours, days or weeks between the individual whacks because the die had to be annealed(softened) and the punch gardened before each strike. I've always liked the '87's because of the different offsets
