Hey all,

Thrilled to present my new (to me) 1926 U.S. Sesquicentennial Half! I posted earlier this week about a very low grade one I had my eye on, but I spotted another that I decided I'd rather have and won that auction.

Here it is:

Obverse:

Reverse:

What would you all say as to grade? I think F15 or VF20... I really like this coin. Enough wear to appreciate the history behind it, but enough detail left to tell the design.

Thanks,

TSS

H-m-m. I'll say VG-10.

All of the design is there, and so accurately describes the reason for which this coin was struck.

I am glad that you chose the higher condition example in this case.

Nice looking example. This one has much more eye appeal than the prior true lowball you showed.

I'm going with F15 as the technical grade.

While I would go to the bank with nickelsearcher's assessment, I could see how this one could drop into the VG range - I'm thinking VG-10 grade - on a given day.

Brief update on this one! It arrived and I was finally able to see it in-person!

I'm not uploading any more pictures, since the ones above (which the seller took) are probably better than anything I could produce.

It looks great in hand, and has a nice spot in my collection now!
