About Me

I'm CrazyDiamond, from Hurst, Texas. I have been collecting coins since about November 2010. This was a pretty big time for me in my life, as this is when my parents finally decided I was grown up enough for them to give me the collection of coins that they had been building for me for many years along with a very nice jump-start on an early collection of coins that had belonged to my grandparents.

Since then I have been hooked - - " I spend almost all of my free time reading books, researching online, and learning as much as I can about all aspects of the hobby, which online research led me to this awesome website.

I love my Dansco Albums and the challenge of completing a whole album.

I can search roll upon roll of coins from the bank trying to find silver and never get bored.

Favorite rolls to search are Indian Head and Wheat rolls.
Days when I can't afford to purchase old Indian Head and Wheat rolls - I enjoy searching good ole rolls of Jefferson Nickels. Nickels are great to me because it is easy to find old dates, even though they may not be worth more than $2.00 in AU-50 or MS60 grade, it still puts a smile on my face.

I catalog my collection into a coin software program and I always get this warm fuzzy feeling when I see my values go up, especially that sweet bullion value.

I take a lot of pride in my collection. Whether it is a coin worth $500 that I purchased from my local coin dealer or a coin worth $10 that I found in an old roll of pennies, I am equally as excited by what prize I have added to my collection and just as equally intrigued by what I may have discovered.

I am thrilled to be meeting new friends who enjoy coins and coin collecting as much as I have come to enjoy the hobby. I have many questions for you, and I am looking forward to all that I will be learning from you.
