It even warrants a 2:18 YouTube video. What a coin.

The seller offers a large number of PCGS-graded coins... It could be that they needed another coin to make a certain discount tier that would make all of the other coins submitted less expensive, or they had a coupon for a free/low price submission and decided to use it on the coin offered. (A local dealer I know has experienced both scenarios.)

I wonder if they were thinking they had a good "low ball" candidate?

That would make sense I guess. Or that they needed that one more coins to get to the next discount tier.

Whatever the reason for slabbing, $34 is crazy high for AG grade.

To qualify for a "lowball", don't they have to straight grade?

I see a lot of rubbish coins on eBay, but this seller just takes the gold medal for the sheer number of items posted and the standard of the photography...

Ironically, the scarcest and most collectable coin they've listed, a 2011 Olympic Hockey 50p, which might fetch 3 on a good day, is actually one of the cheapest - a real bargain at 50! Which coin catalog are they using to get their prices?

Another great coin expert here with fantastic photography skills as well!

This should really be taken down along with all the other listings trying to sell normal coins as errors!

Fact 1: The row of dots around the Queen's portrait on the obverse just happens to coincide exactly with the place where the two metals meet. If you pull, say, 20 2 coins from circulation, you'll find maybe three or four where the dots are all neatly on the cupro-nickel center. In the future, I daresay coins with the dots nicely centered may command a premium!

Fact 2: The edge lettering is applied to the blanks before the coins pass between the dies. It can be either way up.

Fact 3: This is one of the most common commemorative 2 coins in circulation, with a mintage figure of 8,445,000. It's worth face value in circulated condition.

Fact 4: Coins are minted, not printed!
