Lancek Valued Member United States 384 Posts	Posted 08/30/2020 3:13 pm Very happy with this find. German coin commemorating the opening of the Brandenburg gate and the fall of the Berlin wall. But it's from EAST Germany. Which wasn't technically a country any more after that year. So last of the coinage and a cool moment in history. East german coins were rarer, and they only made 5000 of the silver proof. $175 retail according to Krause, picked it up for $25 with buyers premium. Still in OMP, capsule had some cracking around the edge. Which led to the toning issues on the obverse. I will likely get it conserved. Report this Post to the Staff

I already have all of these (except the 1972-V2) in either OGP or in one of my Dansco albums, but I want to have them again in PCGS slabs to complete what I am calling the Secondary Ike Set.
