I actually have a few, not in that condition of course. Can you by chance save one for me once I return back to the United States in...about three weeks? I, of course, go through with our plan and all, with the pre-1940 cents.

Groan - Have to cancel this for the time being. Our 2-year old granddaughter got into my office, found the coins on my desk, dumped them into an open tub of some 2,000 AU wheats, and started digging in them sandbox-style.  Sigh. If you have already sent a stamp, PM me and I'll figure out something better for you or return your stamp, your choice. How could you get angry with this?  Edited by Coinfrog

Well she thought the coins should be with the rest and she put them back.  No problem just take your time and sort them out again.  My grandkids are all teenagers now so I don't have too worry about that. |

Reminds me of my granddaughter...I blinked and like magic my kids instantly grew up. So I am now on grandchildren. Enjoy every precious moment with that little sweety!

It does not stand for anything. It is shorthand to describe
the "OOPS' of making coins during the mid fifties.
THE RESULT LOOKS LIKE "BIE" ON THE COIN.

No, and they will never be so. Except one cent. They aren't worth much, but they can definitely be sold for more than one cent, especially if there are multiple breaks such as an IIBIERI, or LDB345, and the coin is in a higher grade.

Just saw the message coinfrog. I understand about the two year old. I have one of my own...he enjoys carrying around an Eisenhower dollar I gave him calling it a BIG penny. |
