I checked my Flying Eagle and IHC album, I'll crack out the 1860 and 1880 as they are nicer than what is in there now. The Flying Eagle, I'm keeping slabbed, I like Flying Eagle small cents. The 1883 V nickel was supposed to be a gift and I'll still give it slabbed, it looks really nice and the person I'm giving it too will appreciate that its AU and the cleaning won't bother her. If I didn't have one already I would have kept that one also. All in all not a bad way to go. The Copper/Nickel coins seem to be the ones that I am having the most issues with figuring out what's details and what's not. The 1880, I was hoping it wouldn't details, but I should have known. My grades are actually pretty accurate based on what Anacs graded

Interesting results. I know they are not what you fully expected, but thank you for sharing.

Thanks jBuck. To be honest, I wasn't totally surprised, the 1880 I was feeling it would be details. The 1857 I knew it had a scratch, but it was minimal and the coin had wear, I was expecting it to grade straight, but oh well. The 1860, I didn't see that one. Like I posted above the coins are going in the album, so they will replace coins in worse condition. But in terms of good news, the coins have been shipped. Pictures will be coming as soon as I get the slabs back. And my slabbed IHC collection got 6 more coins.

Quote: I can agree with all except for the 2019 W, I was surprised about that one If I'm thinking of the same coin, then I'd have to disagree with them as well. I figured lower MS, but AU58? I'd be curious to see that 1860, that one seemed to have the biggest jump. Thanks for posting the results!

My coins came back from Anacs. After looking at them, I can agree with a few, but the details ones I would buy again. I wouldn't get them graded but I would buy them again. I'll post pictures tomorrow it's late and the light isn't good.

First one and only one I was able to process os far. This one I thought was undergraded. I was thinking MS 62, but after looking at it again, I see AU 58.

I'm only going to post the ones that I won't post on my IHC and Flying Eagle thread. So first up is an 1883 V nickel No Cents, I slabbed this one for a fellow collector. This is her first high grade classic coin. She was very happy and I was also. As it looks really nice. I would grade this one MS, but with the cleaning I can see AU 58, but never the less, its a nice coin.

Looking at the quarters again, I can't see this one as MS 66 if the other was AU 58. Maybe MS60 and MS62/63, but not AU58 and MS66.

After showing the grades to my wife, she asked me if I had annoyed the grader. I didn't think I did . The 1857 FE was listed as F12, looking at it, there was no way the coin was actually F12, I did think it was cleaned and Yes I saw the dings, but I didn't think it would get details for a scratch. I have $23 into this coin and I love Flying Eagles, and I think it looks good for a $23 coin.

The rest of the coins ( IHC) are here: http://goccf.com/t/370239So I guess the question is would I do it again? And the answer is YES but with a warning. While I'm comfortable grading Copper Cents and Silver Coins, when it comes to copper/Nickel coins, I am actually not as accurate as I thought. I get the grade in the ball park around 75% of the time based on this submission, but I have a hard time telling if a copper/nickel coin has been cleaned. As to why I would do another submission, its that many coins at the dealers are not accurately grade, the cost for raw is better for some coins and that the coins look good in an Anacs slab. For the 7070, I won't as those coins are either PCGS or NGC and the slabbing cost is more than what I want to pay. So buying slabbed in that case makes $$$ sense. I will state after doing a few of these, the cost of slabbing in case of selling on eBay makes sense. You are giving the seller a slabbed coin that proves validity/authenticity and while the grade is subjective, none of the coins I would say the grade was crazy. So for me slabbing the coins I did, made $$$ sense.
