2001D Concept Apollo Dollar/Roller

Fun Fact: The date 2001 is in honor of the movie: 2001 A Space Odyssey.

I like it! Big fan of NASA-themed items as well.

Personally, I do like many of the designs by Daniel Carr but would not buy a "copy" of a "real coin" myself. Only fantasy coins, if ever.
That said, it is funny to see how many of those that were fulminating against Mr. Carr almost a decade again now give thumbs up to those that actually buy these "counterfeits".

Something new!! 1848 Oregon Trail Overstrike. I got this one coming.

Each "1848 Oregon Trail" starts out as a US Mint produced Silver Eagle dollar. They are then privately over-struck with template dies to impart the original Oregon Trail designs from the commemorative Half Dollar of 1926-1939. A surplus Denver Mint coin press is used in the over-striking process.

I would imagine as a tie-in to the fact that 1848 represents the founding year for the Oregon Territory.

Good morning, I don't think anybody would confuse this with the real thing considering it's size.

Have a good day all!

I agree! Considering all the differences vs.a genuine coin, only a very poorly-informed buyer could possibly be fooled/confused.
