if you post a coin , can you tell that you want to sell it or do you just have to post it for sale ? I've put some on (you know (bay) but I would like to pass them on to the ones that help me ,when I need it. in shipping do you use tracking ?can you post sets at once or, just a coin at a time ?

Quote: Also a question how are folks able to do free shipping when selling coins? Thanks! Bake it into the price. If you do auctions and start at 99c, sometimes you will lose.

In the for sale forum just say what item (s) are for sale .If you use flat rate boxes to ship ,it automatically has tracking . How you ship your coins is up to you , From a small envelope with first class stamp to large flat rate box . You can post sets of coins at a time or singles , just make sure you follow the selling rules .

It may have been a long time ago but I think I remember reading that it was OK to refer to a CCF thread when selling a coin.
I know I have several threads here that contain really good pictures and it would certainly save a lot of time if I could just put a link to those threads.
I'd like to know if linking any CCF thread to the CCF selling section, eBay or Facebook marketplace, for example, would also be acceptable. I couldn't find anything in the CCF rules prohibiting that type of Informational linkage.

Wouldn't it be easier to go to your uploaded images and copy/paste from there?

Quote: . go to your uploaded images and copy/paste from there? I'm sure that would be sufficient in some cases. But the majority of the threads have more than two opinions on a grade. So if a majority of the viewers grade the item as an MS 63, for example, the individual that thought it was an MS 61 would be up against the majority whether his grade is more accurate or not. If I was referring to a case like this during the selling process, I would link to that particular thread as opposed to uploading photos without comments etc.

I believe the sales topic should have at least one photo, but I see no problem linking to another topic with more (better) photos, grading opinions, etc. That can only help make for a more successful sale.

If you are selling something on CCF, and you want to add a link to a CCF discussion on the specific coin, I see no problem with that. If you are selling something on eBay or Facebook marketplace, for example, we have a separate place to promote those sales.

This is probably more of a buying question than selling, but applies to both. Are there any CCF rules about negotiating a sale through this forum where the lister has the coin for sale on the Bay for example? In an effort to sidestep the fees.

I don't see a problem contacting the seller and asking them to contact you if the item fails to sell on eBay.

Hi everyone,
I have been looking at the items for sale in the CCF. I'm almost at my 90 days membership, so I'm thinking of attempting to sell some duplicates. I just want to clarify a few things as I've never sold coins on any platform at all. Besides that, I don't want to get into trouble and get banned. I love this community! I have learned so much!!
I looked up sniping as did another member here, and found out about auction sniping. That's pretty interesting! So now I get what that means. I have read the rules here about how the auction may work, but I wonder if the interested buyers PM the seller, or list their offers directly in the thread?
Also, for the purchase now option, do the buyers PM, or do they post publicly? All the for sale listings I've read here have no public offers, or did I miss something?
Finally, If I decide to use the « best offer » option to sell, is there a time limit? And are the offers private (PM) or public?
Thanks in advance for your help!

In an auction, they post their bids in the listing.
For purchase now, they PM the seller to say they want to buy, and put a post in the listing, such as "PM sent".
For best offer, you can set a time limit if you want. Best offers are usually sent by PM.
