It doesn't look good to me, but it would be best to have someone look at it in person. Or at least post very good up close pictures.

Fair enough do you have an 1892 to show? I am looking at it and I think it could be a circulation strike it's starting to tarnish on the bow it could be cleaned but I can't take better pictures I tried the case makes it blurry. Am I making a mistake asking people to show their best 1892's because I have shown mine. If it doesn't look good to you show me one better! If you think it's fake just say so because that could be a good reason to use a Fake address. My guess is it's real but I'm no expert and if that's a fake that's a pretty realistic fake I'm fooled.

If a coin 1892 Indian Head cent can still be found in change and a circulation strike is not rare how could you not believe a buy it now price of $28.00. I've seen about a dozen environmentally damaged proof Indian Head cents advertised on ebay for $1000 I tried to buy it but got beat to the punch. I highly doubt I paid to much even if it is a circulation strike and it's a dissatisfying coin to some I like this one. In my opinion I got a good deal so where's the hoard of 1892's guys all I got is two?

Most 1892 Cents are not errors.

When I say it doesn't look good to me, I mean I have doubts about it's authenticity. That is why I suggested having someone look at it in hand. Pictures can be tricky, and I hope I am wrong and you got the deal of a lifetime. If it were mine, I would want to make sure it is genuine. Good luck.

My ***best*** 1892 IHC? Probably my onlyest. They are not really in my wheelhouse. This one was in my junk box, however.

If they can do that without touching it I'm fine with that but to cut the package open I would want it to go immediately to NCS first and foremost. I have my doubts but I would only trust NCS then right to the grading service. If it's fake then oh well it was only 28 dollars. I currently am bidding on a more rare proof at a very low cost and will probably lose but it could be fake as well. The reason I say this is the proof I am bidding on is a weak strike who ever heard of a proof weak strike. The best person in town who deals with coins cleans them and that is a reason not to trust him. The next best thing is to submit the coin to ncs even if it is fake it should give the coin or counterfeit quite a make over I would hope to pay around or under 1000 dollars but I really have not done my home work as to what that service costs.

I live in a house built in 1900 and found an 1892 Indian Head in my garden 2 years ago. Back is corroded and its worth about a quarter, but it was pretty awesome to find.

Excellent on both of your posts, robbudu! Love your off-center 1892 IHC! It's so unfortunate that in 100 years nobody will be finding zincoln cents in their garden.

That's a fantastic Example robbudu! Now I believe that coin should grade fairly decent it is in original condition not alot of corrosion and you can see the full Liberty. It should be higher than F12. Thank you so much for your post! I would tell you a great video to watch on these coins at sale time but I am afraid they edited my post to not mention the video as that may be advertising. Just look up on google 1892 Indian Head cent sales if your interested in knowing it's possible value.

@Pigeon - my Off center graded VF35 by NGC. Not interested in videos and no price guide is really reliable on these types of unique coins anyway.
