Quote: Says I've reached my daily limit, but I can't get a view of the cropped image anywhere. Yikes!

Thanks hfjacinto, I'll try it, or should I say, my daughter is coming over to help dear old Dad. Stay tuned....

My daily limit must have reset. I can post pics today. That was a weird one yesterday.

I guess I am not surprised they are throttling the free access. Glad you are back to it. Just have to pace yourself.

Maybe now you will listen to me and add a link to the old optimizer, just in case https://www.coincommunity.com/image-optimizer/Still works for me, anyway. Apparently some people reported it not working on their end. (I suspect more likely it would get deleted now that its existence is out in the open. But there's always hope...) (EDIT: just in case, please don't delete it - I'm actively using it for my own pics [though I don't post as many these days], and I never got the hang of the Pixir version... way too cluttered for me.)

I just use the default 'Microsoft Photos App that came with windows 10. I can rotate, crop and resize the images just fine.

I generally always use the free Fastone Image Viewer https://www.faststone.org/ since it can save into jpg or other formats (ctrl+s) such as from having an initial png image and can adjust compression of the jpg as well, plus change resolutions (ctrl+r), up or down without loss to resize the images, can also crop, rotate (r) and adjust colors lighting and contrast etc. A good tool to have with everything except a round crop or combining side to side images like in photoscape.

I'm willing to bet that they were free for a while, but then everyone here started using it and those folks saw a 'huge' uptake in activity on their site and now think they can sell it. But what will happen when we all STOP using it after they set in their 'pay to play' program? Quote: round crop or combining side to side images like in photoscape. I really like photoscape - it is a very good image tool to use for special functions.

Looks like they are charging 75 cents per month now for a PLUS to get unlimited saves and ad free. $4.95 gets you PREMIUM full access to pixlr suite, assets, templates and is ad free. Not sure if any of the premium is needed for what people use it for here, but 75 cents is reasonable enough for the plus if thats all thats needed to not dump it but needs to be added to the info so users know. Whichever of the programs above mentioned people like could also be mentioned. Quote: I really like photoscape - it is a very good image tool to use for special functions. Yes but not as good for the basics like rectangle crop, image resizing, adjusting colors. For that as mentioned I prefer fastone image viewer. I've tried most of the others mentioned and its better but everyone of course likes what they have learned/are used to first - change is hard :)

I have to say I'm relieved that it isn't just on my end, because if you can mess it up, I'm your man. Computers and I don't jive. Hope this doesn't become an issue.

Back in the day - maybe around 2015-ish - I googled around and found a website that looked like it must have been what the CCF optimizer (at the time) was a fork of. I don't recall what it name was... something fairly generic, I think... and my recent attempts didn't find it again. It's possible that it no longer functions.
