Name is Rob.

About 2 years ago my cousin showed me his coin collection, little did I know, this is a hobby that is perfect for me. I'm obsessed now. Knowing that I could find silver in my change is fascinating and fun to me. We call it finding silver "in the wild"

My Fiance and I check our change and local coinstars constantly. There is always change in the coinstars and NO I don't take all the change, I sift through it and just look for silver or wheat pennies then leave the rest. Its not about the money its about the find.

So far we've found like 6-10 dimes in the wild, I honestly lost count. And a ton of Wheat pennies of course. We've also got a Steel penny and a silver WW2 nickel back in change from the grocery store.

My collection is quite small now, probably 30 coins of all kinds of junk silver. I have not actually bought any silver coins, I like finding them. Okay I lied, I have bought a few coins off ebay but it was mostly for the fun of it, nothing crazy just junk silver. Also found out my dad has a small collection that used to be his dads and he will give me a coin here and there whenever I visit. (hes halfway across the country)

I just randomly found this forum and I can't wait to educate myself and expand my collection and turn into a real collector.

I also collect Nintendo stuff bust its mostly modern stuff like discontinued Club Nintendo items and Amiibos.(I'm the that bought them when they first came out just to store them and sell them 5 years from now) And I have like every rookie card of Football players from the 90s. (I'm 28 years old)

Thanks for listening to my story.

You have 2 options here.
Option #1: You can copy the content you wish to quote, click "go advanced"; paste and highlight said quote...followed by clicking the shortcut box (sheet of paper) @ the top with the red arrow (next to bold, italic, underline, hyperlink etc) which will auto-insert the command around said highlighted text
or Option #2 (the easy way).

Paste the item you wish to quote in the "quick reply" box and insert the following before & after the text, respectively.
[*quote*] & [*/quote*]
(don't add the asterisks)
Also, I found a '64 dime @ work today...

Rob! Many serious collectors started off with a little dirty silver.
