I have some junk to trade. I'm not sure how many coins it is but I have 4lbs 10oz in loose coins and 3 lbs 8 oz in 2x2s. Interested?

Yes, I am interested. I'd guess that 4lbs 10oz is about 550 coins. I wouldn't even be able to guess the ones in 2 X 2's. I'll PM you.

Just saw that your reply doesn't have the PM icon (?). I guess you'll have to PM me first.

I just want to make an update, this has so far been an absolutely excellent idea (for me anway, I can't speak for jgfindring). I was able to send out my "junk" and get someone else's "junk". Though I got a lot of really nice stuff from jgfindring, my original intention was met too. Even when it came to the low value coins, so many of the dates I got were different from the dates I had. As a side benefit that I had not anticipated, some of the coins I got in trade did in fact go back in my junk box, but they made my junk box more diverse than it had been thus making for better future trades.

MArainman, the emails I send you keep bouncing back. I'm responding to the address in the PM you sent me. I'll try the PM icon again through CCF.
Rest in Peace

Hi MArainman, Got yours in the mail yesterday. Hope they make it okay, the post office lady thought I was absolutely crazy with the weight of the package though. What does she normally mail, teddy bears?

Same here. The loose coins were packed on the bottom so the box was very bottom heavy. When she put it on the counter it flipped onto the floor so it might be a little banged up. But it went out this afternoon.

I'm glad you got it. I was worried that I stuck too much in that little box. Amazing that I fit all of those in a $4.95 box!

Hi MArainman, Got yours today. Just glancing through let me know I'm happy. Just a few of these made my side worth while. When I really dig in I'm sure I'll be finding a real treasure trove in there. Thanks...

Waiting to hear back from WpgLwr.

Jays-Dad :
When I finish a little more sorting I am interested in doing this, but I have a couple of questions about what you want:

Do you want a mix of different KM#s, or would you like the coins that are in different sub-groups as wells (e.g. KM #101, 101.2, 101a), or do you want different years and mint marks of the same coin?

I ask as I was going to go through and make a mix by hand, so it would be good to know how mixed it should be, and this will determine how many I have to trade. Also, I figured others might have the same question, so I posted here rather than PM.

Thanks,

John Paul

I think the main idea is to surprise me! Personally, though I of course love "new" things, I am also thrilled with getting new dates of KM #'s I've already got. I'll trade almost anything! I don't really want 500 of the exact same coin, but duplication is assumed. Let me know, I've got lots to trade.
