I think it'll be slightly over $1,000.00.......(maybe more so that I "hope" it will be !)

I had/have been thinking about selling a Proof 2006 1oz. Gold Buffalo.....and decided against it......but am still tempted.
I could use the money.....and with my luck, when Gold is at $490.00 an oz., this will be when I have to sell it ! ....
Ideally, I'd like to keep it, and other Gold coins in my collection for another 25-30 years, before I "part" with them.....but we'll see.
When the price gets this high.......it sure makes you think though.

Should be interesting to see Oct; I don't expect much change either.
Longer term, I'm guessing it reverts back to historic supply/demand.

I ran it through my crystal ball and voted for it to go down. It even surprised me. Lotsa big players are hurting right now, and when other stuff is tanking they convert the most liquid asset. Especially when it's high.

(buy low, sell high...)

As expected, It took a hit, yesterday, and that is in keeping with my answer to the poll. You will not see much movement in either direction, for the forseeable future. Why? There are too many countries who have very large gold holdings, and they have the same problem with the "coin of the realm" vasrying with, or agaionst the dollar. This will affect the price of gold. Russia has very large gold holdings, and when the price gets too high, they dump large amounts on the world market. Effect? down goes the price. some have 'dreamed of gold reaching $5000/OZ. nwever happen! There is too much UNMINED gold, easily obtainable to ever see a price like that. There is only about 7% of the worlds known gold deposits being worked. Silver, on the other hand, will see triple digits. I won't be here to see that, but that day is coming! Some of you young folks will se it, and recall my comment.

Nothing is significant about October 1st. It was just a date chosen on 09/17, due to a spike on that day. The significant date was 09/17. It usually stirs some to speculate, either way, due to the spike. Nothing scientific about this pole. It would have been better if everyone responded on 09/17.

Is gold manipulated? As I have mentioned in other forums, my conclusion after dealing in heavy metals since 1976 is yes. Those who have an interest in this subject may find this to be interesting reading;
