Geez,it is hard to tell. But I'm no expert either here.I'm sure someone will be able to tell you better.I have 2 different types of the 1859,one being the narrow 9 bronze, but your nine looks different from mine.It could just be my eye's too,I have a hard time zooming into these things.Good luck,I hope someone can help you better than I. :) sn31.

Narrow nine. I'd call it VF. I don't think the pictures stink, they could be a little more clear but they're not that bad.

I would say plain narrow 9, as there are no projections anywhere. I would also agree that it is VF. The pictures are not bad- maybe use a stand or tripod, to get more sharpness. Lighting at a slight angle also helps- I use a regular light at about 15 degrees away from vertical, as well as the camera flash.

I do believe I have all the varieties of the 1859 . isn't there 4 types and If this coin I showed is VF what current price do you all have on it. There are 4 types of the 1859,I don't know the actual value of them, all I can tell you what they are selling for,but I don't know if they are overpriced or not.Someone ought to be able to tell us for sure.
