I bought a few things on eBay recently, but this coin I was the most excited about. This is my first Trade Dollar and it looks great in my 1800's Type set.

Stone51462, your Trade dollar has what appears to be a seam between the denticles and the edge on the obverse and reverse and genuine Trade dollars typically don't have those types of raised lines. I would definitely have it looked at by at least local dealers or if you can provide clear close up pictures here someone should be able to confirm the legitimacy of your coin. The Trade dollars is the most counterfeited series if U. S. coinage and buying an unslabbed one is always a risk.

My recent purchases, an 1877 Indian cent good condition, cleaned; 1914-S Lincoln cent XF; 1856 and 1858 Type II 3 cent silvers both XF; 1893 Columbian Expo half, MS-63; 1885-S Morgan dollar, VG and an 1894-O Morgan dollar, G.

The 1856 3 cent silver is going into my 7070 album, the rest are for resale and will be posted in the appropriate section of this forum later.

This is my first coin purchase in over a year. I'm thinking I might start working on my AG Barber Half set.

Numismedia FMV value for a G4 is $115. I picked this AG one up for $10.50 shipped.
