Photos a little blurry, but that looks like a very nice coin. Love the 5c pieces!

I am currently just learning about Canadian coins so that being said I received an opportunity to purchase a decent amount of Canadian 50 cent pieces, 40 to be exact. The question I have for you is this, would you have purchased this lot for a solid $7US/per coin, or did I waste my money? The second page is all 1900

Quote: did I waste my money Even without considering dates, I would say you got a great deal. If you study individual dates and conditions you may find some especially valuable ones.

These look like they are all Newfoundland, not Canada. In general, the Newfoundland 50 cent coins have much lower valuations. Also, it looks like a number of these coins had some kind of cleaning or environmental damage. Hard to tell from the photos. Just bullion value in some, but others have numismatic value. That being said, I still say you did alright for $7US per coin.

You did pretty good. Won't be an issue to breakeven or better if you decide to sell. Plus it's a good set of Newfoundland 50's

Just so you guys know those coins in my previous post are all the same color, none are funky colored as they appear in the pictures. I apologize, I didn't realize that they caught a reflection of some sort. Baut as always you are all appreciated for your input. I'm struggling finding very much detailed information about the coins if anyone knows a good place to go or resource to buy I'd be interested in hearing about it, thanks.
