i found 2 of these in 500$ worth of quarters. ... no silver :(
Amazing condition to. they were SPOTLESS.. but me being new not knowing how to handle properly they got dusty and I rubbed it on a silk cloth.. *i learn from my mistakes!* :P

I read these were around 15$ sre they? I'm planning to put them on ebay for 5$ and 2$ shipping after I find protective coin sleeves. :)

The valuable coin that you are thinking about is the coloured version of this coin (where the large maple leaf background is red), with the 2 raised.

They made 2 dies for this coin. The one that you see on your coin where the 2 is raised on the leg. The second one was meant for the coloured coins only, where the 2 is engraved on the leg.

On some coins, the die for the non-coloured coin was used on the coloured coin.

Unfortunately the coin that you have there is worth no more than the face value.

middross is correct, the only quarter of this variety that would command a slight premium would be the colorized RAISED 2 such as the one you have....except for the colour ofcourse. I have looked through many of these quarters and still havnt found a raised 2 colorized. However I'm pretty sure I did find a "painted" one instead of a colorized.

Now the reason why the value of the coin you have is $10-$15 is because its ICCS graded ms-64/65. The cost of grading the coin is about $7-$10...so thats the only reason why its listed that those prices.

Mintage for your coin

4 259 000

Mintage for the colorized RAISED 2 variety

200 000

oh yeah, where are my manners...
