I would hang onto it. Especially since its a higher denomination. Nice find.

Usually, it's the lower denominations that multiply the most in value over face. I've got a bill just like that $100 and it'll be my last $100 but I would still spend it if I absolutely had to.

Make sure you check the 1949, 1955 for the more expensive variety.

I wasn't aware of the 1949 variation but I will keep my eyes out thanks! I'm dying waiting to get something that will magnify enough to see what I am doing

found this gorgeous 1963 in the till at work, the pictures dont capture how red and lustrous it is, its a mystery as to how it was so well preserved, I saw it as soon as I opened the register. Its a hanging 3, very hard to see though, and I'mnot sure that that is at the bottom of the maple leaf....

today I went to a RBC that was along my way to work when I stop by. inside when I asked the teller if she had any older bill she asked if I wanted any older coins as well I said yes and she came out with a bunch of older 1 dollar coins!
my finds are
5 BC dollars

3 1969 dollars

1 PEI dollar

1 1888 1 cent

1 1971 10 dollar bill

and a 1991 20 dollar bill with what I think is a ladder serial
