Found this 1973 Kennedy half dollar with a 2 counter stamped onto it. Posted and one comment lead me here. I'm definitely a fan of these now. It's fun to try and figure out what they mean. It's also a little frustrating not finishing anything though. Which is the case for this.

Here is a unique counter stamp that I have spent more time than I care to admit trying to find information on it. The reverse has a much better stamp than the obverse. If anyone recognizes this 'eagle' or has any idea what the letters (or numbers) in the wings and the numbers below represent I'd be ecstatic if you'd share. I'm not going to say what I think I see as to not give anyone a preconceived idea. Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can render.

1886-O Morgan dollar counterstamped "Edw. H. Bohlin, Co. Maker, Hollywood, Cal". Edward H. Bohlin was a renowned saddlemaker and silversmith in Hollywood CA and manufactured custom silver and leather goods for many of Hollywood's golden age movie and TV cowboys. https://www.bohlinmade.com/history This image was shameless stolen from an image on eBay for an auction selling one of his belt buckles.

Thanks, jbuck! And it cost me only a tiny bit more than a "junk" Morgan would have.

here's something I picked off the ground somewhere last night... orange on the obverse, pale on the reverse with blotchy, speckled red & blue toning, looks like it was super-heated.. the most interesting thing I've picked off the ground in many weeks...
