Found this in my local Walmart Coinstar yesterday. 1968 Canada 10 cents 18.03mm. I looked it up. 1968 was a transition year. Canada changed from 50% silver 50% copper to 99.9% nickel. The silver version weighs more and is not magnetic. Mine is silver, current melt value about $1.21

Found these guys in the coinstar reject bin, an apparent hammer job & a D silver dime. Dime needs a soak in acetone to get the gunk/color off it.

Each time I buy a roll of junk silver I gloss over the coins superficially for a count and a quick scan for dates and weight. I just record weight of them. But every time I find a pre- 1965 silver coin in circulation from change received at a business or moreover..... from a Coinstar.... I'm just beaming with delight! High-five! Score!!
