Hey fishnwidow, This is one that I have. Graded by pcgs xf 40. You can compare it to yours. Hope it somewhat helps. Still regardless of what the story on your coin is it's still a nice find.

Souther yankee...I think your coin helps validate Fishnwidow's quarter. Your "s" is flat across the top, too, even though yours has better definition/less wear. Thanks for posting.

This is an attractive coin that appears to me to be genuine. Despite the minor bagmark on the obverse, I think your coin will easily grade at least EF-45, and will likely go AU-50. Greysheet on this coin is about $210 in EF-40, and only goes to $220 in AU, so you should accept no less than $200 if you decide to sell it.

If you have an offer of $350, I'd advise you to take the money and run!
