@westcoin. Very nice Lady Godiva's, but both the pics are the same coin? And I hear you about difficulties taking photos.... @ Dollar 1935 Quote: My second U.K coin ever ; That is a very nice 1911 Florin, I'm still yet to find one nice enough that fits into my budget. Thanks for showing.

ttkoo - Thanks I've fixed the photos, I had naming issues when uploading them and I had text wrong in one, when I fixed it I then named the files wrong. Should be correct now.
Dollar_1935 - That George III Britannia is a superb proof! A real stunner, if you had posted it before I missed seeing it then, thanks for the repost, that is one heck of a start to a British collection.

My relentless quest for Victorian copper and bronze continues... Today's arrival. Far, far more attractive than in the images when bought. Pretty much full lustre and original colour which is difficult to show here, but got designated RB by NGC. How, I have no idea, law unto themselves.

Quote: Kipster - Nice luster on that 1891 penny Thanks. I was gobsmacked when I open the package and it looked like this. The images were a dark brown colour (which I *really* like), so a wonderful surprise.

Afternoon all, Postie has arrived with this addition. A lovely 1838 Victoria halfpenny. Some nice lustre on this one on the obverse.

Three more Warwickshire Halfpenny tokens arrived this afternoon in my mailbox, after I got home from work. A good day! To start off, another Lady Godiva Coventry halfpenny, this one is D&H-234 and my second ex: Richard Dalton collection piece, I never thought I'd actually own tokens out of Dalton's collection when I started down the Conder Token path, now I have a pair of wonderfully provenanced pieces, albeit they are lower grade and affordable ones. Next up my last needed Coventry Gate Token, the White Friars Gate D&H-280. This piece could probably do with some conserving, considering the stains, but it's a bronzed proof and very reflective (more than one can tell from the photo). Great care will be used when that happens. This token does already have some fine hairlines and a minor scratch on the reverse, I was able to get it at a slightly better price, due to that. The scratch is only visible at certain angles, (this photo shows it well) at the "OF" on the reverse running to the front feet of the Leopard. Last up is a different variation of one of my previous Coventry Gate tokens, D&H-273a Grey Friars Gate, This token has the very rare George Frederick Handel Reverse. I also note it has a small clip of the planchet and a hit to old George's nose, plus some extensive dark staining and verdigris. Another one destined for the conservation pile sooner than later. These little issues allowed me to get this really tough token at a fair price. It is actually the very first Handel reverse Coventry Gate token I've seen offered for sale since I began collecting them. Another package is coming from across the pond with 4 more really nice tokens in it, can't wait.
