Believe it or not, there were nickels with a clad layer produced. They were allegedly made for the purpose of funding Chiang Kai-Shek who was fighting the commies at that time, but the coins got lost in a freak accident and have been washing ashore on the beaches of Southern California ever since. Only one man in the world knows about this top-secret operation, and he died nearly 30 years ago during a battle with a velociraptor.
The coins had dates in the (then) far future to prevent them from reaching circulation!

Dude, I hate it when my freedom fighter coin salvager gets eaten by velociraptors!

Although that does line up pretty well with a documentary I read about Nicola Tesla's Atomic Robo and his battle with Dr. Dinosaur. That velociraptor could time travel, so that could explain why the clad nickels were dated in the "future".

So could too could a certain Iguanodon.

Check out this beauty. It could be yours!
And some knucklehead has bid $34 on it.

Can that arguably be considered a coin?

It's a flat-out fake 1804 silver dollar. They get away with it by calling it a "trade token". But why would anyone bid $34 + buyers premium + shipping on this piece of junk?

jbuck, they're trading that "token" for some fool's actual money, so it's accurate.
