A Conder from Portsmouth, Hampshire. I don't think anyone knows the actual date of issue, but it commemorates the Valentine's Day Battle of St. Vincent in 1797, in which the young then-Commodore Nelson vanquished the combined Spanish and French fleets (armadas?) in an act of total insubordination by disobeying orders from his direct superior, Admiral Jervis. Imagine if he'd been the vanquishee...what would we know of Nelson now?
