I collect U.S. coins, but were given coins from all over the world (some of which are Canadian). I having been trying to find a free coin value or price guide service online for world coins, but have been unsuccessful. I was hoping some of you folks would be able to provide a link for such a free service or help me determine which of the following coins would be worth holding onto.

I haven't examined the coins in detail to look for mint marks or to grade them. I intend to do both if is there is anything worth taking a second look at. The coins will be listed below. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Chad

I can help you with values, but there's more to value than knowing the date of the coin. If you just want the lowest value for the type of coin you have you can try (131231) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed . There, for example, you can find that the kind (type) of five cent piece minted in Canada in 1889 and 1894 that you own was minted from 1858-1901 and is designated km#2 (it's a catalogue of world coins numbering system). If you look at the values page on that website it tells you that the lowest value year would have a value of US$2.75 in VG (very good) condition, $4 in F (fine), and up to $85 in uncirculated condition. If you post pics here, I (or someone who knows something) would be happy to help you further.

I can give you prices from Canadian Coin News on the two silver 5¢

1889 in VG $40.00
1894 in VG $28.00
Of course if the grade is better the value will be higher.

The 10¢ and 25¢ are silver except for the 2004.

Thanks Bill. I appreciate you taking the time to look them up for me. Do you happen to know if any of the others have much value other than for their silver content?
