Oh wow! Now that is a tough date indeed.
Currently interested in buying 1957 and earlier Russian and Soviet coins. Let me know if you have any and we can hook up a deal!

You can buy 1927S LSQ for pretty small money in lower grades, and it has mintage in 300,000 range which is much less than 1923S or 1921 but those two coins are much more expensive in most grades even though they have mintage of well over 1 million. Mintage does not tell you how many coins still exist. Half of the LSQ's before 1925 have dates wiped off probably. They sell these coins on Ebay with no visible dates for hundreds of dollars. Common practice to say a LSQ with no visible date to be in F or VF condition. Are they kidding?

Not the prettiest, and was cleaned sometime in its life, but only 3K minted. 3030 including proofs.

Terry, I think you may be talking about T1 SLQ's. There's a way to ID if it's a 1916 or a 1917 even if it's dateless.

Anyways, looked up a 1879 Seated dime and I immediately fell in love.

Hey JimmyCC, have you ever done a Coin Week "Cool Coin" episode?

I feel asleep today with old episodes on a YouTube loop and a man was showing that piece off. I distinctly remember the cross through it and the man saying it had a wide appeal because not just coin guys but track stars would like it.

My previosly mentioned 1850 half cent is no longer my lowest mintage coin. My reverse proof Truman and Eisenhower Dollars have a combined mintage which is less than the total mintage of that Half Cent.
