Got 21 Ikes today, which is the most I have ever gotten in one go! One of the bicentennial Ikes has a mild collar clash, which is a nice small bonus, it is now in a 2x2 in my error coin album
Outstanding!

Went to my local credit union this morning for other business and asked the teller if she had any "large coins" in her tray. They VERY rarely have anything odd except for a few Kennedy half dollars here and there. Today she had two Ikes, which I acquired. They are 1972-S and 1973-S and appear almost uncirculated. They are definitely not proof coins, so 40% silver at face value is always a treat.

Today I checked in with my favorite head teller about my Ike order. She said the coin vault (Loomis) has 300 Ikes, which is good news. Bad news is they must have 1,000 before they will fill an order. So, it is not looking good for me to receive 1,000 Ikes before I move away from this area in about 1 month. The head teller assured me she will keep checking back with Loomis, but I am doubtful 700 more large dollars will appear in 1 month given my last order was at least 6 months ago and only 300 have accumulated. I hope you all have better luck!

I heard a story one time where there was a car wash that gave Ike dollars and Kennedy halves as change.

I picked up 6 of these at a local flea market last week. Most were 1972 and 2 of them are Type 3. I'm now shopping for a Type 2 ( 1972 P ) and they are quite scarce I'm finding.

It took me a while to find a nice and affordable one for my graded set.
