Trihemiobol, Massalia/Marseille, ca 480 BC. 10 mm, 1.31 g. (Sorry for the out of focus pictures, the trihemiobol's high reliefs combined with its tinyness is a challenge for my cell phone camera.)

Sweden, 10 öre 1861. 12.7 mm, 0.85 g.

The silver 10 öre (about 2˝ cent) coin minted 1855-73 is the smallest Swedish coin in modern times. Its tinyness made it difficult to handle and the coins were nicknamed "herring scales."
