The single most reproduced image in the history of the world

And just when it looks like we can proclaim Abraham Lincoln to be the most reproduced metallic portrait in history, we are reminded that Queen Elizabeth's portrait has been on multiple denominations throughout the United Kingdom.

Perhaps our in-house mathematicians can deduct how many total coins the current Queen's portrait has been on?

I once read somewhere(Numismatic News? Coin World?) that there have been more Lincoln Cents minted than all other coins minted in the history of the world. Given that the number of Lincolns exceeds half a trillion, I find that statement to be plausible.

But it said single most produced image. The Queen's portrait changed multiple times through her life. 3 or 4 different versions. Would have to do the numbers for each separately and then add them all together. It may come out that she is the most produced person, but that Lincoln cent has the most produced image.

9 Billion in 2015, and 8 Billion in 2014 means that the 500 Billionth was minted sometime in late 2014. I wonder if I have it's still shiny.

You guys have way too much time on your hands. Ha ha ha. If you really want a challenge, figure out how many coins the United States mint has made since 1793.

I am unable to locate the mintages for the 2014-S and 2015-S pennies. The pennies on average are 58.2% of all coins minted every month of the year as ordered by the Federal Reserve.
